What I repair

Rings, chains, clasps and more

Gold and silver jewellery, repaired at my bench in the Orantown Centre. Bring it in and I’ll tell you what can be done and what it will cost.

Laser soldering: I repair jewellery with my own laser soldering machine. The heat stays in a tiny spot, so fine chains, clasps, jump rings and pieces set with stones can often be repaired without taking them apart.
Ring resizing: Rings made bigger or smaller, and bands reinforced where they have worn thin.
Chains & bracelets: Snapped chains and broken links joined, and new jump rings fitted.
Clasps & catches: Worn or broken clasps replaced on necklaces and bracelets.
Cleaning & polishing: Gold and sterling silver cleaned and polished to bring back the shine.

Because I do every repair myself, in the shop, your jewellery stays with me from the moment you hand it over until you collect it.

Do you send jewellery away to be repaired?

No. Every jewellery repair is carried out in-house, here in my shop in Oranmore.

What is laser soldering?

A precise way of joining metal using a laser. The heat stays in a very small area, which makes it well suited to fine chains, small parts and pieces set with stones.

Can you resize my ring?

Yes, bigger or smaller. Bring it in and I’ll check it and give you a price.

Do you make jewellery?

Yes, like personalised name necklaces. Call in to talk about what you’d like made.

No. Just call in during opening hours, Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm. I close for lunch from 2 to 3pm.
